The “Bathdunpura Arunodaya” mobile service was successfully held on August 20, 2026, at the Majuwana Sri Pushparama Temple. Guidance to make this event successful was provided by the Divisional Secretary of Baddegama, Mrs. Niluka L. Suriyaarachchi, and the organizational work was carried out by the officers of the Divisional Secretariat.
Residents from the Veweldeniya, Madolduwa, Majuwana, Keredewala, and Batakataya Grama Niladhari divisions participated in the event and had the opportunity to access a wide range of services in one place, including:

"Pahan Sith Gee Arana" Devotional Song Program and Bread Dansala
Organized by the Baddegama Divisional Secretariat in view of the sacred Poson Full Moon Poya Day, the "Pahan Sith Gee Arana" devotional songs concert was beautifully adorned by the vocal performances of officers representing various government, religious, and educational institutions in the Baddegama area.
A special highlight of the event was that each participating institution and school formed its own choir group and presented devotional songs with immense faith and devotion. The list of local institutions and schools that brightened up this blessed evening includes:

Parallel to the devotional songs concert, a "Bread Dansala" (food stall) was organized for the attendees, which was conducted very successfully, allowing us to serve a large crowd.

All-Night Pirith Chanting Ceremony and Almsgiving
To commemorate the proud occasion of the 78th Independence Day, an all-night Pirith chanting ceremony and a meritorious almsgiving program were held on the 3rd and 4th of February at the Baddegama Divisional Secretariat premises. These spiritual activities were organized to invoke blessings upon all the residents of the Baddegama Division.




Concurrently with the "Sathutu Ratak - Clean Sri Lanka" village-to-village special public welfare program, the "Bathdunpura Arunodaya" Mobile Service Program was successfully conducted on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Thelikada Maha Vidyalaya premises.
The initiative was executed under the direct guidance of the Baddegama Divisional Secretary, Mrs. Niluka L. Suriyaarachchi, and was efficiently organized by the staff of the Divisional Secretariat.
A substantial number of residents from the Thelikada, Thelikada Town, Horagampita, Horagampita Central, and Pituwalgoda Grama Niladhari divisions participated in and benefited from this event.
The mobile service offered a comprehensive, one-stop platform for the public to access a multitude of essential services, including:
- Administrative & Documentation Services: Issuance of National Identity Cards (NIC) and Birth Certificates, resolution of land-related issues, and registration of business names.
- Healthcare Clinics: Dental, Suwanari (Women's Health), Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), and Ayurvedic medical clinics.
- Welfare & Advisory Services: Provision of Senior Citizen Identity Cards, social services assistance, and professional career guidance.
- Special Programs: An agricultural crop clinic for local farmers, activity-based educational and entertainment programs for children, and educational short film screenings.
